CBSE has released an official notice on its portal ctet.nic.in, stating that the complete Information Bulletin (including syllabus, eligibility, fee details, exam city list, and important dates) will soon be available on the website.

Candidates are advised to download and read the official bulletin carefully only from the official site.

According to the notice, CTET 2026 Exam will be held on 8 February 2026 (Sunday) for both Paper-I and Paper-II.
The online application process will begin shortly.


The CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) is a national-level eligibility exam that certifies candidates to become teachers in schools such as:

🏫 Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS)
🏫 Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS)
🏫 Other Central / State Government & Recognized Schools

Candidates must have any one of the following qualifications:

  • 12th with 50% marks + 2-year D.El.Ed
  • 12th with 45% marks + 2-year D.El.Ed (as per NCTE norms)
  • 12th with 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed
  • Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed
  • Graduation + B.Ed (valid in some cases)

📘 Paper-II (For Classes 6–8 – Upper Primary Teacher)

Candidates must have any one of the following qualifications:

  • Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed
  • Graduation with 50% marks + 1-year B.Ed
  • Graduation with 45% marks + 1-year B.Ed (as per NCTE norms)
  • 12th with 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed / B.A.+B.Ed / B.Sc.+B.Ed
  • Graduation + B.Ed (Special Education)

🔹 5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates
🔹 All qualifications must be NCTE recognized

  • Minimum Age: 17 years
  • Maximum Age: No upper age limit set by CBSE

🟢 Paper-I (Class 1–5)

🟨 Each question = 1 mark
🚫 No negative marking
